While I was I'll a few days ago I found myself wandering around my house looking for something to do other than lie on the sofa feeling sorry for myself. It quickly became obvious that I am a serial non-completer. I started to make a list of things that I have started and not finished and in less than an hour I discovered the following......
6 books partly read
2 pieces of knitting incomplete
2 crochet blankets in pieces
1 Kitchen ceiling half plastered
1 garden barely touched
1 garage half cleared
1 loft full of rubbish half stacked half chaos
1 spare room full of stuff needing a home either mine or someone else's
5 magazines in various states of being thumbed
7 various games unplayed or half played
1 diary for each of the last 10 years filled in until February/march/January
1 notepad containing lists of things I must do
1 set of divorce papers not filled in
Several diet books unread several diet clubs joined and left within a week.....
And frankly on it goes, so I concluded that I am a total and utter non-completer. Apparently I'll be a lot happier if I start to finish everything I've been neglecting. I suppose starting with completing myself should be a priority but looking at my life it generally is the thing that is left behind.
I'm going to blog my journey and if no one else but me reads itso be it but I'm hoping by putting it out there for the whole world if they want I'll find focus and actually do it.
I have started with contacting my ex- discussing and agreeing the divorce and today I have completed the papers, written the cheque and posted it at the court.......here we go people
